In Gao, et al (NAD-Independent L-Lactate Dehydrogenase Required for L-Lactate Utilization in Pseudomonas stutzeri A1501, doi:10.1128/JB.00017-15) CKBB buffer is employed for the optimum pH and stability test. It also seems to have one great range, 3 to 12. I couldn't find other references where is used, someone could provide me the recipe?

Hi, CKBB buffer (= Britton-Robinson buffer) was used for another LDH in this paper: Jiang et al. Protein Expr Purif. 2014, 95, 219-25 (doi: 10.1016/j.pep.2013.12.014). They also give a recipe, but I think the one from 'Handbook of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, 4th Edition' (p. 715 and 718, buffer 14) is a little bit better as it contains information about molarity and how to set the pH.
