We want to prepare graphene or reduced graphene oxide. I am looking for a technique that can produce graphene directly onto glass substrates. Can anyone let me know which method is best. Any references?
Not directly but after you synthesize GO from Hummers you can deposit GO films onto quartz or glass or silicon substrates by modifying them with a 1% APTES solution in 4:1 acetone/water solvent. Then, you incubate a GO solution about 0.5 mg/ml onto the modified substrate and wait to get your film. Then you reduce your GO film to rGO with hidrazine vapour (use a closed glass chamber with substrate facing up) and there you have rGo or GO films. All the references you get from the collegues are very useful indeed.
I hope the above specified articles will be good enough to decide the best approach of graphene preparation. However, you can try with the simple chemical method in presence of base, like KOH or NaOH under microwave irradiation will help you to get defect free graphene sheets. Also, you refer this article..
What is the best method to have following advantages:
1- high yield and pure and homogen (size, functional groups in both sides ) GO structures
2- well disperesd in water , stable over some time
3- single layer and have large lateral dimension (micro meter)
4- easy to perform in ordinary lab.
5- proved and cited in other works
