How to dissolve Nile Red properly to screen Polyhydroxyalkanoate producing bacteria?

I have tried to do as stated in Spiekermann et al. 1999 to dissolve in 0.002% DMSO solution. But it seems that the chemical wasnt dissolved properly. Only, i increased the Nile Red concentration according to the latest paper Trakunjae et al. 2021 up to 50x the initial mass. Thank you
