Its known that the potential range of the oxide materials in the field of energy storage is very limited. A suggestion of ionic liquid electrolyte has been established to widen the potential window. The confusion comes when someone comes across a variety of ionic liquid then it's a little bit complicated to select the right electrolyte for a particular material.
In my case, I am working on carbon-based oxide materials with water-based electrolyte, and I would like to start using ionic liquid electrolyte, so I am looking for the best electrolyte for oxide materials.

The critical factor is the application of your oxide materials for energy storage. For Fuel Cells, based on liquid electrolytes, the best choices would be
Alkaline Fuel Cells: Liquid H3PO4, Liquid KOH (both immobilized)
Molten Carbonate: a slurry/liquid of carbonates with alkaline earth metals, e.g.K2CO3
For batteries there is a much wider range of options though.

Morpholinium ionic liquids may be the good electrolytes. For example, butyl-methyl-morpholinyl bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide [ButMetMor][TFSI] and ethyl-methyl-morpholinium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide [EtMetMor][TFSI] and their mixture with propylene carbonate have been investigated as potential electrolyte layer capacitors in electrochemical double electrolytes for their good conductivity.
