Hello Ansys Users
in "ANSYS Workbench" how can I plot the Contact tool results (frictional stress, sliding distance...etc) with "length" (500mm for example) in the "x-axis" instead of default "by time" option???. the "Path" method can not be used with this type of results. any help or suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I faced this problem, I tried all the possible solution using APDL coding etc. However, I found the easiest way is:
Go to Contact tool-> frictional stress
Then right click the mouse and select Export -> Export text file
Use Excel software to draw the frictional stress with node locations not the time.

Yes, this is one method which I used before.
I found another way using APDL command. you have to define a path in the specified distance and create coordinate systems at beginning and end of your path then insert an APDL command to plot the path mapped results.
Ahmed Mirghani I am facing with this problem, I want to plot the pressure (in contact tool) along the path. Could you help me to do it with APDL command in this case?

Ahmed Mirghani I have 2 question on theses commands
1) Do we need to input the command before calculating the simulation ?
2) Will it work for 2D contact simulation ?
Generally there is a deformation in the contact and it doesn't align to the path so I am facing issues in getting the results when plotting with the Path.
