Iopidine (apraclonidine) was once used before as a prophylactic drug to prevent IOP spikes before and after glaucoma laser procedures but it seems now to be not in the market anymore
I don't think there is one sure shot answer to your question. It depends on the experience of the clinician. Also certain patients show good effects with one medication and some show with others. I think it will be better for you to just ponder upon your own experience. That should be the guiding principle rather that slight differences in pharmakodynamics etc.
