Thanks Dr. Maged, I know but we still have a stock of EB in my lab.
we dont pour EB in gel, we use it in buffer then put gel in this solution for dying. this is more safe than when put EB in gel

If you're asking for an alternative to EtBr, Nancy-520 from sigma is for you. Sigma claims, it is both sensitive (for DNA detection) and much safer to use compared to EtBr

I recommend using "safe view" dye instead of ethidium bromide.
Dear Dr. Arwa,
EB is the most economic product, but it is harmful as you have mentioned. There are products like "sybersafe dyes" in market which have almost same resolution as EB and are eco friendly. Give them a try.
