What is the benefit of using ESAT-6 and CFP-10 in a T cell stimulation assay, Vs. ESAT-6 alone, when looking PBMC response to MTB infection?

For a T cell antigen stimulation assay looking at responsiveness to Tuberculosis, we plan to use a peptide library of ESAT-6. Most other studies that do ths assay look at a combination of ESAT-6 and CFP-10.

Is the reason both are often used as stimulatory antigens because MTB secretes them together?
