In some discussion people took 112 mg of MAI and 461 mg of PbI2 in 1 mL DMF and some took 461mg of PbI2 too but 159mg of MAI there are many other authors took different amount of these materials in different amount. What is the basis of taking amount of materials? Also what is the basis on which peoples are taking amount of DMF, DMSO solvents? Please clear my doubts....Thanks in advance!
Basis is obviously the molecular weight as written in the packet of the material. To fabricate 1M precursor solution , you should take molecular weight amount (in mg) of MAI and molecular weight amount of PbI2 (in mg) in 1mL solvent. However, there are so many tricks and techniques. As MAI is a organic compound and its synthesis may vary lab to lab, molecular weight also varies depending on the manufacturer such as Sigma, TCI, Alfa and Dye Sol. So always calculate the stoichiometry from the packet of the material not from random internet search. Otherwise you will be confused.
Moreover, I use a PbI2 rich solution to fabricate larger grain and highly efficient devices. Go through literature for detail.

the correct way is always calculating the basic stoichiometry using the exact molecular weight given on the chemical packing and try to make first 1ml solution and mix them. solvents are there to dissolve the salts they can readily evaporate during the annealing process your PVK structure made within that solvent. Your solvent readily evaporate and you will remain with your PVK structure on the glass during spin coat.
