Dear Sadia Tm, the question is a litle bit ambigous! What is this polymer ? Is it hygroscopic? If so, I think it has more affinity to DMSO compared to water, which means water is excluded out of the mixture (I assumed DMSO is dry). My Regards

Dear Sadia

DMSO can also contain fairly significant amounts of water (mentioned above). Better polymer solutions often result if you dry the DMSO - a simple way is to store it over suitable molecular sieves.
