I study the yeast lipid metabolism and I am preparing to lipid bodies staining with Biodipy. Could you desribe what staining solution should contain? You published very nice photos in
"Effects of macro and micronutrients on neutral lipid accumulation in oleaginous microalgae".

Staining is an application of stain to a sample to color cells, tissues, components, or metabolic processes. This process may involve immersing the sample (before or after fixation or mounting) in a dye solution and then rinsing and observing the sample under a microscope.
Common method of staining: The Schaeffer-Fulton method (the most commonly used endospore-staining technique) uses heat to push the primary stain (malachite green) into the endospore. Washing with water decolorizes the cell, but the endospore retains the green stain. The cell is then counterstained pink with safranin.
