Hi there, I have already asked a question about my final thesis in master of architecture which I was thinking about it and I"ve received good answers from friends. But Im still rethinking about it. my new Idea is about revitalization of old life in order to achieve new life ( in architecture and art)which I am interested in, but I am not sure how can i find resources about it. I would be very thankful if somebody who are experts , leave me messages and help me for considering this subject. As far as I know it will consider many items which are important in our historical city, as a case study. even considering the same languages in the same century in architecture of two country or city . considering the effect of different factors, like; culture , economy, geography, etc.
what we can do for connecting them to new life? in order to be seen better,
My question is; How will be the process for this research?
because it is like a general and huge subject which cover many details inside itself.

The field of rehabilitation and renovation is full of resources related to your topic. However, your topic seems still a bit overall. That is, through which perspective or mean you want to revitalize the old life? through special materials, design...etc

An interesting example for you to explore might be the Bimish open air museum in the North East England, if nothing else, it may insipre you or give you some ideas on how to progress your research.
There, they have recreated life as it used to be in the past so that the visitors of the musem can experience and see for themselves. In a way by recreating old life they have given a new life to the place. Otherwise it would have probably ended as one of the many examples of deprived former coal mining communities in that part of the country.

It sounds like retrofitting in architecture or repurposing of old industrial complexes, churches, brownfields etc. any old architecture journal would give you a lot to munch on. It is a broad section though. It sounds to me that the term “Revitalization” is akin with “Urban Regeneration” originated in the UK during the 80´s following the critical writings of R. Goodman and J. Jacobs, in which “Process” and “Content” play a more crucial role instead of purely “stylish” or “Formal” considerations. From this, the subsequent study of complex relations between “People” - “Form” – “Function” – “Meaning” are the basis for an urban design agenda. Consequently, I perceive it necessary to expand narrow approaches of isolated and purely architectural considerations.
