When people report on epitaxial graphene on SiC(001) in the literature, does it mean that as-grown graphene has single-domain? What does the term, 'single-domain' mean? When we say, single-crystalline GaAs or InP on the substrates, does it necessarily mean that those as-grown GaAs or InP materials have single-domain ?

When a CVD graphene is grown using Cu foil (for large area graphene), The crystallinity, i.e. continuous arrangement of hexagonally bonded carbon atoms, of the single layer is maintained only up to few micron area. This few micron area which has continuous array of hexagonal carbon atom without any breaks(can be pentagon, heptagon, cracks, multilayer etc.) is called the domain of a single layer graphene.
