Hi all

I have been exploring the literature about processing semantics (guaranteed processing) in real time stream processing domain. Everyone is taking it is important, very important.... but unfortunately I didn't understand its utmost importance.

I understand the possible semantics i.e at least once, atmost once, exactly once, but didn't fully understand their significance in real life situations.

Can some one explain to me or provide some useful resources (paper, web links etc) which reveal the importance of processing semantics in stream data processing.
