I want to isolate mitochondria from mouse brain tissue; For the experimental procedure of mitochondria isolation, a nature protocol used potassium EDTA to prepare EDTA solution and isolation buffer. however, i have sodium EDTA in may lab, can i use sodium EDTA instead of potassium EDTA? will it affect on sample perpetration and outcome? (I know that the main difference between two EDTA is different salts, but i want to know does Na EDTA and potassium EDTA have different effects on mitochondrial isolation perpetration?. Thanks in advance.
