Dear valued researchers,
I came across a term "primitive enzyme". I did my reading but still I do not understand much about the enzyme. From my understanding, the primitive enzyme exert broader and non-specific function compared to the modern enzyme.
Is that the only criterion to differentiate between the primitive as well as the modern enzyme?
Does that mean primitive enzymes exist in all organisms but the modern enzymes selectively present in different organisms?
