I am doing quantitative nitrite detection following protocol. A solution of the appropriate furoxan (20 μL) in distilled water was added to 2mL of 50 mM phosphate buffer (pH 7.4) containing 0.5 mM L-cysteine. The final concentration of drug was 10-4 M. After 1 h at 37 °C, 1 mL of the reaction mixture was treated with 250 μL of the Griess reagent [sulfanilamide (4 g), Nnaphthylethylenediamine dihydrochloride (0.2 g), and 85% phosphoric acid (10mL) in distilled water (final volume:100 mL)]. After 10 min at room temperature, the absorbance was measured at 540 nm; 10-80 nmol/mL sodium nitrite standard solutions were used for the calibration curve. The yield in nitrite was expressed as percent NO2- (mol/mol) ± SEM.

How can I get results in mol/mol, after getting the standard curve and OD of furoxan?
