I got good growth on Sabouraud agar with Pythium irregulare. Apparently P. irregulare (according to literature) shouldn't be freezed. So, after getting growth on agar plate (or slant) should I keep the plate in the fridge (+4C) and then make fresh plate cultivation again and keep it in fridge. If yes, how often should I repeat recultivation? I don't have cornmeal agar at the moment; is Sabouraud agar is also fine for maintenance of P. irregulare? Thank you in advance.
