Our lab is looking into possible development of a custom antibody. Current available antibodies give a lot of non-specific binding, including detection of this particular protein in our knockout animals (we've tried 5 or 6 brands). We have already tried custom development with a company and the results were disappointing.
Has anyone had a good experience with custom antibody development? What company did you use?

In my research group (leaded by Prof. Pilar Marco) we have produced MAbs and PAbs for 25 years against any kind of molecules (proteins, peptides and low molecular weigth componds).
