Dear RG community

I trying to calculate sample size in which I will use Multi-stage sampling due to the fact that I will need to sample schools and sample the pupils from the selected schools. However, I do not know how to calculate the number of schools (the primary unit). Is there a formula I can use? I should think calculating the number of pupils (secondary units) will be simply to use the formula in the attached image. Kindly advise
