I have conducted a survey using purposeful sampling and now I need to proceed with data analysis. However, I could not find adequate information on the best way of analyzing data collected using purposeful sampling to finalize the research.
Mebrahtu Gebremariam , almost any available statistical method that you want to apply can be used to analyze data collected with purposeful sampling. The only thing you need to remembers is that all your results and conclusions only apply to your sample. You cannot make claims about the population you took the sample from, as the sample may not be representative of the population. (I suggest you to apply descriptive statistical methods, and avoid inferential methods.)
Use normally descriptive statistics for your sample. For numerical variable, compute central tendency and dispersion and distribution type. For categorical variable, compute frequency distribution table. Also the equivalent charts cab be added.
There are many statistical methods that can be used. things that need to be considered to determine the type of method used are the type of data, the assumptions of the method and the research objectives.
