two of my T25 flasks, one 6 days old, and the other 3 that have no contamination, with normally colored media and no abnormalities are suddenly floating (~98% of them). 48 hours previous, the cells were healthy. since I am an undergraduate student, I did ask a few more experienced post graduates and post docs to look at it and they agreed it lacked contamination, and were previously healthy cells. my media's FBS content was 5% and I change the media once every 2 days, before it changes color. might I know what could have triggered both flasks to detach? other T25 flasks with HCT116 in the same incubator were unaffected. overall my cells (passage 28 and 29 respectively) are a bit slow growing but otherwise healthy until their detachment.
