Hi all,

I'm using aqua regia to clean glassware used in synthesizing colloidal gold. When disposing aqua regia, one protocol suggested buffering with Sodium carbonate. I wonder if I can use any other alkaline substance like sodium percarbonate which is a lot more alkaline than carbonate.

Can I use dilute NaOH or KOH as well?

Any advice or comments would help.

Thank you!
