"Hi, I'm conducting research on proximity proteomics using HRP. I intend to assess the functionality of the HRP within the vector I've created by performing biotinylation with biotin-phenol and then visualizing it through immunofluorescence. Following the biotinylation reaction, I need to include 5mM trolox in the quenching buffer, but unfortunately, I don't have any available. What could be a suitable alternative?"

Can antioxidants such as glutathione be used instead of Trolox? Has anyone done quenching with other antioxidants? or Will the quenching process occur if I never use Trolox?

The quenching buffer contains 10 mM sodium azide, 10 mM sodium ascorbite, 5 mM trolox in PBS.
