I am writing my Phd thesis in which I try to make an indicator based assessment. My aim is to be able to compare provinces in terms of their index results. One of the indicators is temperature and I use Mann-Kendall Test and Sen's slope estimator in order to detect trend and also the magnitude of that trend. Since I want to compare the temperature increase of corresponding provinces, should I use the Z value or Qmed value in order to use it for the assessment?
I am asking because I realized that the province with higher Z value has lower Qmed value than other province has.

As your objective is to compare various provinces, I would suggest using magnitude of the trend. Z value will give you an indication of significance level. Where as the Sen's slope will give you the trend magnitude.

The value of Z (absolute) is compared to the standard normal cumulative distribution to determine if there is a trend or not at the selected significance level. A positive/negative value of Z indicates an upward/downward trend.
The Sen's estimator corresponds to the true slope of linear trend (change per unit time period).
