Even after junior scientist's contribution in preparing a manuscript (requested by the senior scientist), if the senior scientist (corresponding author) excludes his name intentionally from a manuscript and the paper came accross the junior scientist after publication, what can the junior scientist do?
Contact with the rest of the authors and also the editor of the journal. Make sure to make your appeal formal and official. You may talk with the senior scientist, but make all your appeals formal with involvement of the necessary people.
Send out communication CCed to the rest of your group as well as the Editor of the Journal.
If your research was funded by an institution or your academe, it is also best to make your dilemma known to them.
If this does not work, try legal actions.
