I am confused on suitable boundary conditions when meta surface is inserted between array of two cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna. Separately meta surface is showing band stop characteristic for which it is actually designed (based on the PEC and PMC condtion) but when it is used with array of two CDRA then band stop characteristic is not obtained on desired band , it is always occurring beyond the resonant frequency of CDRA. Which boundary condition will be suitable for above case?
You have optimized your metamaterial structure with electric boundary and now you are using it with open boundary, definitely the results will change because EBG, metamaterial and DGS will change the behavior w.r.t boundary. Even for different electric boundary heights also the behavior will change. The solution of the problem is, you should optimize your EBG or metamaterial structure in open boundary condition for specific band of operation. This optimized structure will work fine with antenna structures.
