I have a specialty application in electroreduction and have been having trouble finding an appropriate anode. Most of the anodes we've tried end up producing hypochlorite from the chloride in the water and end up oxidizing the target compound. I've tried graphite, but the anodes are degrading too quickly. I'm thinking of trying a conductive plastic to use as the anode, but am wondering if 1) they can carry enough current and 2) will they corrode/degrade or are they pretty inert.
