I am doing a trial for my bachelorthesis and examine the roots of the experimental plants (betula grossa) with the intersection gridline method - we used a commercial mycorrhizal mix (with some endomycorrhiza, but more important ectomycorrhiza like pisolithus tinctorius, amanita muscaria, cenococcum geophilum, hortiboletus rubellus) for testing growth after plant tissue culture. Is what can be seen here (for example the club-shaped root tips) a ectomycorrhizal association?
