Environmental problems have global impacts. They are very complex and are interrelated with socio-economic factors, too. Problems like climate change and global warming, water and air pollution, generation of solid and hazardous waste, soil degradation, deforestation and loss of biodiversity have no borders and pose major threats to human safety, health and productivity. Due to these threats to human future, it is essential to address these problems properly, raise public awareness, establish networks for research collaboration and active participation of all members of the international community. Could climate change drive a more collaborative approach to international relations? How?
