Help question: Which cells secrete type 2 collagen fibers?
I've heard before that chondrocytes can secrete type 2 collagen fibers, but what kind of chondrocytes are they?
In addition to that chondrocyte, what other cells secrete collagen type 2 fibers?
Do you know what type of chondrocytes it is?Because as far as I know there are three types of chondrocytes, elastic chondrocytes, fibrocytes, hyaline chondrocytes.(@Subhash C. Juneja)
In humans, hyaline, elastic and fibrocartilage chondrocytes produce type II collagen.I The amount and organization differs.
