A bowl of yogurt is said to have 300 grams of calcium.
Builds immunity, Controls blood pressure, and aids weight loss.
Don't forget about potential effects of fermented milk on mental health (eg. Selhub et al. 2014 https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24422720/). Also don't overvalue these effects. They may depend much on fermented food quality as yoghurt may contain variable amount and quality of microbes (Rezac et al. 2018 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6117398/).

Yogurt contains some of the nearly every nutrient that your body needs. Yogurt provides an impressive amount of protein, with about 12 grams per 7 ounces (200 grams). Some types of yogurt contain live bacteria, or probiotics, that were either a part of the starter culture or added after pasteurization. Consuming yogurt — especially if it contains probiotics — on a regular basis may strengthen your immune system and reduce your likelihood of contracting an illness. Yogurt contains some key nutrients for maintaining bone health, including calcium, protein, potassium, phosphorus and, sometimes, vitamin D. Yogurt's fat content is one of the reasons why its healthiness is often controversial. It contains mostly saturated fat, with a small amount of monounsaturated fatty acids. Yogurt has several properties that may help with weight management.

As a nutrient-dense food produced by fermenting milk, yogurt helps meet daily macronutrient and micronutrient recommendations and reduce possible health risks in vulnerable populations.
The nutritional benefits of yogurt are significant.
Yogurt is a predigested food, which contains many nutrients, such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins.
Six good reasons to eat yogurt:
Yogurt has a micronutrient composition similar to milk, generally with good bioavailability, and is accessible at an affordable price.
Yogurt has a low energy density.
Yogurt is a good source of calcium and other minerals like magnesium, potassium, and zinc. It also contains little sodium. Yogurt consumers have a better calcium intake overall than people who do not eat yogurt.
Yogurt contains vitamins B (B1, B2, B3, B6, B9 and B12), A and E.
Yogurt is a great source of good quality protein, whey protein and casein, which can lead to reduced appetite and promote muscle and bone growth.
Yogurt has a higher concentration of conjugated linoleic acids than milk. Studies have reported that conjugated linoleic acids have immunostimulatory and anticancer properties.
Yogurt contains some key nutrients for maintaining bone health, including calcium, protein, potassium, phosphorus and, sometimes, vitamin D.
The benefit of yogurt for human health, I think that explain partly because of all milk (yogurt) ingredients such as (casein, fat, lactose, mineral, probiotic, etc.) Have more benefits health.
The amount of casein in cow’s whole milk varies according to the breed of cow and stage of lactation but is generally in the range 24–29 g L–1. Casein contains 0.7–0.9% phosphorus, covalently bound to the protein by a serine ester linkage. Casein is consequently known as a phospho-protein.
Functional BIOACTIVE PEPTIDES from the casein effect of the health system such as Cardiovascular System, Nervous System, Nutrition System, Immune System.
As noted for milk, calcium, phosphorus, and iodine levels are such that one yogurt (typically 150 g) provides a significant share of RDA.
Numerous studies have reported that milk fat contains a number of bioactive components with certain biological function affecting human health which include sphingolipids and their metabolites, butyric acid and essential FAs, including conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), vitamins A, D, E and K, β-carotene (pro-vitamin A) and etheric lipids which have been shown to have a role in brain development (Ebringer et al. 2008). These components have been shown to have beneficial activities include anticancer (Parodi 1999; Vesper et al. 1999; Parodi 2001), antimicrobial (Possemiers et al. 2005), anti-inflammatory (German & Dillard 2006), anti-atherogenic (Mozaffarian et al. 2006), reduction of serum low-density lipoprotein (LPL) cholesterol (Vesper et al. 1999) and enhancement of immune system (Sugano et al. 1999).
The human gut contains a huge number (estimated to be over 100 billion) of micro-organisms, referred to as microbiota/microflora. These micro-organisms are normally divided into three categories: the beneficial, termed as probiotic bacteria; the harmful pathogenic; and the commensal bacteria with no harmful effect.

Yogurt contains a mix of both probiotics and prebiotics which are the starter lactic acid bacteria and their metabolites respectively.Ingestion of probiotics improve many nutritional factors as they reduce pH value of stomach ,making a suitable medium for ideal action of pepsin enzyme. They produce huge enzymes such as proteases, amylases and cholesterol oxidase that prevents atherosclerosis and converts high density lipoproteins from insoluble to soluble form. They produce many antimicrobial substances such as bacteriocins which balance and inhibit pathogenic bacteria. in addition they produce lactase enzyme that treat the lactose intolerant. They become a therapy which imrove many nutritional and physiological proberties of gut.For prebiotics which are the metabolites carry out similar functions.

But too much of a good thing can make it bad for you too. How so? For one, some studies have found that yogurt is high in animal protein and also in galactose which are said to increase the risk of certain cancers, such as ovarian cancer. A good yardstick: slurp up no more than three small cups of yogurt in a day.

Among those four, it turns out that the best option to consume yogurt is during breakfast or on an empty stomach. This is because good bacteria or probiotics in yogurt must arrive at the large intestine in a live condition to effectively maintain digestion and health.

A lot of discussions have already taken place on the nutritive values of yogurt.
I would rather narrate the following two usage of yogurt as house-hold remedy.
1. After undergoing treatments with antibiotics, we are normally left with disturbed intestinal flora system. In this situation a mixture of yogurt (one tea spoon) a pinch of cumin powder in a glass of water can be taken, may be, couple of times in a day. This is likely to restore the intestinal flora system and as a consequence lost appetite would also return.
2. The same mixture is likely to act as a household remedy for a minor stomach upset.
Please do note that I am not a Medical Practitioner at all, and in case of any health related problems, a Medical Doctor is the right person to prescribe a proper remedy.
In fact, I reside in Gujarat, India. Here the mixture of water, curd and cumin powder in appropriate proportions is a very popular drink and is taken with meals.
1. used to boost immunity to increase the resistance of different disease or infection.
2. Help to weight loss- the amino acid found in the yogurt is helps to burn fat.
3. help to prevent vaginal infection
4. perfect medium to maximum calcium absorption because of it has lactic acid.
5. rich in potassium, calcium protein and vitamin B
6. prevent gastritis and stomach ulcer
7. Used to prevent osteoporosis
8.help to prevent heart disease
9. has many good bacteria probiotics
so yogurt do has a lot of nutritional and medical values@

Lactic acid bacteria are the source of many benefits associated with consuming yogurt.
Many people are unable to digest lactose, a sugar found naturally in milk and some dairy products. Thanks to the fermentation process, yogurt contains little lactose. In addition, its bacteria can synthesize an enzyme called beta-galactosidase which helps digest lactose.
Lactic acid bacteria present in yogurt can reduce the symptoms of diarrhea by favorably modifying the bacterial flora of intestine.
In vitro and animal studies have shown that consuming yogurt stimulates immune function. Lactic acid bacteria are thought to promote the production of antibodies and cytokines, which protect against pathogens in the digestive tract.
Consuming yogurt may interfere with the development of a bacteria called Helicobacter Pylori, which is associated with certain types of stomach ulcers.
Bacteria in yogurt can promote several enzymatic reactions necessary to detoxify carcinogenic compounds in the gut.
Consuming calcium from dairy products, such as yogurt, is associated with better blood lipid levels that can prevent cardiovascular disease. By modifying the intestinal flora, lactic acid bacteria also promote the elimination of cholesterol through the intestine, which lowers blood cholesterol.
Yogurt contains essential nutrients for the proper functioning of human body. It contains among other things calcium, a nutrient involved in bone formation and possibly in prevention of osteoporosis. Calcium in yogurt may also help prevent obesity.
