What are the different cell culture media is used for producing the extracellular vesicles? Any components of media plays a major role in the EVs?

Different media components and conditions are mentioned in the literature for EVs production. I am just wondering whether any media component play a role in determining the EVs production ?

Your media type will be influenced by the cell line you are trying to isolate the EVs from. The main thing to be aware of is any serum you are using in your media. This will need to be depleted of its own EVs (e.g. by UC/UF), or remove serum from the media all together. A common method might be to grow cells to near confluence, then switch to EV depleted media for 24-72hrs and isolate EVs from this conditioned media.
