I need to use trypticase in medium 10 culture media for fecal samples but, I could find trypticase peptone available on the market.
First of all, I want to know if I can use trypticase peptone instead of trypticase.
Secondly, whether I can use tryptone instead of trypticase.
I disagree with the other authors. Depend on the microorganisms, the use of any of them can make a big difference. In the media culture manual of the different manufactures you can find the composition of each one, and make a better selection.

In my opinion, you can use any one from them (peptone, tryptone, tryptone peptone, trypticase, and trypticase peptone) as these all are partial digested proteins. They may be different in form and some of composition but they all are rich in simple proteins i.e. peptides (not complexed) as they are partial digested with enzymes.
Tryptone, tryptone peptone, trypticase, and trypticase peptone are the pancreatic digest of proteins (such as casein etc.) that do not completely break down the proteins into amino acids but into peptides and used commonly as several bacteria prefer peptides to amino acids.
Whereas, peptone is produced either from partial enzymatic digestion or partial acid hydrolysis.
In short, all these (peptone, tryptone, tryptone peptone, trypticase, and trypticase peptone) constituents acts a primary nitrogen source in enrichment growth medium.

I agree with Edelberto Silva. Range of peptones are digested from meat, milk and soya beans. Trypicase peptone and tryptone are both pancreatic digest of milk casein so are the same, only differntiated by the brand. Both of these should be suitable nitrogen source for culturing faecal organisms from bovine rumen.

I had my special experience for using pepton Tryptocase instead of Pepton in My culture medium.
Non of my strain have shown growth! Seems that I should not replace them.
Then I think they would have totally different effect on the medium.
Peptone and tryptone both are the source of nitrogen but both affect drastically the growth of microbes. As I experienced while using tryptone in place of peptone gave better enzyme production and growth yield.
for yeast YPD media preparation can we use trypton on the place of Peptone..?? in YPD medium its function is to break down the proteins....
I think the best way to put it is, you can technically use all of them, however, the composition of each can affect the growth, so you should keep this in mind.
