There are several calcium channels expressed in cardiac tissue. Briefly, Cav1.2 (L-type/α1c) is present in atrial and ventricular myocytes. Cav1.3 is also L-type calcium channel and it can be found in pacemaker cells (SAN, AVN etc), but also in atrial myocytes. In additional T-type (Cav3.1, 3.2) have the same distribution: mostly in pacemakers but they were found in atrial cardiomyocytes. Moreover T-type calcium channels are highly expressed in neonatal ventricular cardiomyocytes until 7th day after birth but after are totally replaced by L-type Ca1.2 channels. Hope, it is useful)
