I am interested in making a big list of skills that increase the speed of skill learning. The word "meta-skills" seems to capture that. I think it's important to start talking about them and teaching them explicitly and with high amounts of domain variety.
Here are some of my own examples to get going:
Motor skills: balance, rhythm, inter-limb coordination
More general (including motor skills): attention control, patience, navigating the trade-off btw speed and accuracy, the Growth Mindset, optimism (in the Positive Psychology sense: tied to self-efficacy beliefs).
