ASM recommends Creusot-Loire Equations to predict cooling rate to obtain some certain % of pearlite. bainite and/or martensite into steel (ASM handbook Vol.4- Heat treatment, Quantitative Aspects of IT and CCT Curve- Page 57-59) whose alloying composition is known to some extent. But the equation contains C, Mn, Ni, Cr, Mo compositions only, whereas the composition I am looking for contains tungsten as well. How can I obtain W effect on cooling rate to obtain certain phase proportion in heat-treated steel?
