Relatively new concept (Ray Algar; 2007) "collaborative consumption" and "sharing economy"; nowadays more and more people are supporting them. I am interested to know other opinions, especially the critical issues. On the other hand, I am very interested to find how some cultural, social features are influencing this kind of consumption.

Your Explanation seems to imply that social norms, as found in online communities, matter, when sustainable consumption is concerned. Cultural and social phenomena are per se relational, accordingly interactions matter. So far, methodological individualism was dominant in consumption Research/Marketing, despite its limitations (Hodgson 2007). Or is it changing, now?

No, not yet I did not have the opportunity to explore attitudes and expectations toward sustainable consumption/or even collaborative consumption. But I consider that is not lost time, yet!
I was a little bit disappointed because of low rate of interaction/answers (I have only two answers) in spite of the topicality of this issue, mostly within this deep crisis of all kinds: economical, political, social, moral etc.,which manifests for a while! But it seems that too many people did not detect this ! To me this concept seems to be so complex, so important and extremely interesting - in fact it is a multidisciplinary research issue in my opinion.
This (Collaborative Consumption) is a topic too little known and too little discussed for today, this could have a good consequence but its neglect could have high impact in future.
As, Kathryn said, also myself am very interested to hear more on this topic! Could be?!
But where are the people willing to debate and to practice the collaborative consumption that can be considered as an act directly linked to sustainable development?

very few or almost no study about sharing economy in malaysia or maybe im not aware. then, will start to do pilot study why sharing economy? and will extend this study.
