My research team is investigating reverse vaccinology to identify candidates for anti-parasite vaccines in cattle. I think the weak link in my team is our deficiency in understanding MHC I and II alleles and interactions in the bovine host. We do not have access to a bovine immunologist. Thus, our in silico predictions are suspect, in my opinion.

Is there a good listing of known MHC I and II alleles that we could plug into our reverse vaccinology prediction pipeline. We currently are using the standard list of human alleles in our Vacceed pipeline and I would like to substitute bovine alleles instead of the human.

Our group is getting a lot of pressure to predict these vaccine candidates, but I fear we are going a bit blind without access to a good bovine immunologist. I can understand and tweak all the other steps of the prediction pipeline, but these MHC alleles are a bit of a mystery.
