Looking for different methods to reduce the metabolic activity of cells. Primarily HepG2 cells, but muscle or adipose tissue cells either.
Temperature would seem to be the most obvious way. Q10 temperature coefficients for most enzymatic reactions are in the vicinity of 2 meaning that for a 10 oC decrease in temperature, the cells' metabolic rate would decrease by half.
