I am using a 2707 waters HPLC device. When I try to inject a sample, it says missing plate or rack. I changed the needle and calibrated its position but I still get the same problem. I even get the same error when we are doing only needle wash/purge without going to the vials. Has anyone faced this problem before and know how it works? thanks

Hello, the problem not connected with a needle or vial is the sample rack problem it means something wrong with the photodiode which indicates the plate or rack.
If you are able to go inside the equipment you will see the optocoupler which detecting the rack, something like in the picture.
