Virtual topology in abaqus?

Hi. I use ABAQUS software for finite element simulation. I apply virtual topology method in cad model and then I mesh it. Do make changing in final answer by this method?

This technology is very useful and I would say that it really depends how the CAD model was created. The benefit is that you don't need to mesh small edges, radius etc. Therefore. Is the final result more accurate. Especially if you use an Explicit analysis procedure you don't have to suffer from small element sizes!

You also have to consider that CAD is an idealize reality...
