I am conducting research to perform microbiological analysis of non-sterile pharmaceutical products such as syrups, creams and lotions by FTIR-ATR method. My aim is to perform TAMC, TYMC quantification and presence-absence analysis of specific pathogens. I did not come across such a method in the literature search. The European Pharmacopoeia states that FTIR can be used as an alternative method for microbiological analysis.
