08 February 2025 4 10K Report

Dear fellow researchers,

Hello, I have been culturing bEnd3 cells recently. A few days ago, I coated a plate with 2% gelatin and seeded the cells.

Most of the wells showed normal cell growth, but in certain wells, the cells started to die. Interestingly, in some wells, I observed two distinct types of cell death morphology. I have attached images for reference.

Typically, bEnd3 cells die in the form shown in the first image. However, I also observed an unusual cell death morphology, as shown in the second image.

(All images were taken from a single well.)

I would like to understand the possible causes behind each type of cell death.

Thank you for your time and insights!
