When we are working under hydroculture/hydrophonics, we find that even the same cultivar of a plant species releasing different quantities of organic acids to mobilize plant unavailable inorganic phosphorus. I want to know when we may expect more organic acid release by the plant roots to mobilize/hydrolyze plant unavailable inorganic P into available form.

As we know that P requirement for plant is more in initial stage. Under stress condition, plant changes it root geometry to acquire the nutrient by production of organic acids. we can expect more secretion during the period upto 30 days.
If you think in this direction, then most P requirements by the plants is at critical growth stages i. e. at 6 weeks of plant age or 42 days old plants but in that case there should not be any differences in organic acid release at that growth stage when plant species of a particular cultivar is used. Moreover, we find that under P deficient condition the organic acid release was more than the optimum P level in the solution.
