You can use Fugen transfection reagent or CaPO4 manual transfection system.

But Fugen is very efficiently method than CaPO4

Pubmed - searching for your cell line of interest and "transfection" should give you enough articles to dig through. Or have a look at the vendor homepages (life technologies, promega, qiagen, stratagene, etc pp), they often have detailed information on their reagents and the cell lines they tested.

There are several things you need to do first.

1. Determine the cell line you wish to make stables in and perform a death curve for your selection marker (G418, puromycin, etc.). You want to try numerous concentrations of your selection media (check the literature of lab protocols for a range). You want to choose a concentration that will kill 100% of the cells after 3 days exposure time.

2. Make sure you can transfect these cells with your vector by transient methods and optimize conditions.

3. after 1 & 2, You can start you stable cells lines. Transfect the cells the way you do with a transient transfection, wait 1-2 days after for recovery, then add selection media. Do not be concerned if you experience a lot of cell death as this is normal. You want to expand you cell line and freeze down as many cells for every passage. Or you can grow the cells and sort them by expression (if you have a tag such as GFP, RFP or YFP).

Also, this is a fairly long process. Do not be surprised if it takes you 2-3 months to get an established cell line.
