Rainin sell a gel loading tip which has a flattned end and are useful for rinsing and loading thin gels. Rinsing works better with the pipette tio inserted down the side of the well and if loading is slow it may be best to rinse a few wells and load them rather than rinse all wells and load them in one go as more acrylamide may leach out of the gel. You may find loading improves if you add more loading dye than usual

Next, look for a long enough silicone tube with a diameter suitable for this tip. Insert the tip into the tube. The connection must be tight to prevent air from leaking through.
