I need to heat therminol oil as heat transfer fluid at 250 degree celsius. Currently i am using high temperature and high power(3KW) coil heater to heat and found that the heater is corroding faster and failing after few heating cycles. What the best method to heat the fluid at high temperature? Please suggest.
If it is a heat transfer fluid why do you want to heat it ? I think you first look for the physical and chemical properties and chemical composition of such a substance to know its limits like boiling point, acidity and whether it is corrosive to the heating coil material ?

You may better use high frequency induction heater. You can design the coil as per your container requirement. Sine it is non-contact heating, no issue of corrosion. Also, it is fast, efficient and the heating is uniform.
Mr Shrikanth why you use heater to heat the oil. Please use Boiler so that you get batter efficiency in plant as well as minimize the conservation of energy.
