Test samples doesn’t showed inhibition among all the above tested concentration...this was the result I got for antimicrobial properties of my samples. I wanted to know the exact meaning and interpretation for this question as i am not a biology student
Vinutha Srikanth Depends on the metal, particle size (and shape)of the oxide and the solubility of the (metal ions in the) oxide or hydrated form. Google (Scholar) is your friend.
In addition of Alan,s answer , minimum inhibitory concentration must be determined for each nanoparticle. You must prepare different concentrations in ug/mL starting from higher to lower concentrations and make their effect on the indicator microorganisms used.
Please have a look of the attached file. Although the inhibition depends on the type of microorganisms and nano-particle size , shape and concentration.
That's depend on preparation methods for generation of NPs
Besides, depend on chemical characteristics of metal oxide NPs may be the cause is the net charge of NPs repulse with negative bacterial charge
You can study zeta potential or chemical reactions of your prepared NPs
