Greetings and Regards. Local cultures can contribute to sustainable development in cities. These cultures have a double identity for cities with their unique ceremonies, celebrations, food, handicrafts and customs; To grow into small businesses.
UNESCO's (2016) global report on culture for sustainable urban development explains that a human-centered city is a culture-centered space. If so—and the argument is indubitably convincing, there can be no doubt that culture lies at the heart of sustainable urbanization with implications for urban renewal and innovation. Per UNESCO (2016), culture-based steps to promote the sustainability of cities would then be to (a) regenerate cities and rural-urban linkages by integrating culture at the core of urban planning; (b) build on culture as a sustainable resource for inclusive economic and social development; (d) promote participatory processes through culture and enhance the role of communities in local governance; and (d) develop innovative and sustainable financial models for culture.

Envisioned much on the lines of wildlife corridors, sustainable corridors would allow people to pass on from one place to another through more energy-efficient modes.
